Fit & Comfort: Pro Lace, Elastic Toe Ties: True's Pro Lace elastic toe ties secure the pads while allowing the skates a greater range-of-motion, improving edge control and reducing lower body strain.; True/Lefevre's Fast Rotation System: FRS strapping secures the pads with a wide, plush wrap, internally adjustable at two different points to allow precision tuning of the pad's fit. What is the difference from the 7x4 and the 9x4?

Target Audience:
The 7X4 leg pads are for the intermediate-advanced level goalie.
The 9X4 leg Pads are made for the elite level goaltender who needs high level performance.

Customization:
The 7X4 comes with the standard fitting options that has some customization capabilities.
The 9X4 comes with additional customization options such as the adjustable strapping systems and fit profiles to cater to the goalies preferences.

Protection and padding:
The 7X4 leg Pads offer great protection and comfort. These are capable of high level shots, but wouldn't be recommended for consistent elite or pro level shots.
The 9X4 leg pads have top of the line protection, and are meant for consistent pro or elite level shots.

Price Points:
The 7X4 leg pads are at a more accessible price point for serious amateur goalies.
The 9X4 leg pads have a higher price point for the advanced features and high level quality.

Warranty

True Temper warranties its goalie blockers, catchers/gloves, and leg pads against defects in manufacturing and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of 90 days.
