When coloring the inside edge, you will have the option to use True’s Fast Glide which is designed to create less drag on the ice when sliding around the crease. It is recommended to get the sliding edge of the True Catalyst PX3 in white to utilize the Fast Glide technology and get the most out of the potential performance of the PX3.

Continuing to the build of the pad, the True Catalyst PX3 features a more traditional design that it’s L20.2 counterpart. Starting off with the face construction, the entire PX3 is a fairly flat design with balanced features throughout. Across the knee section who will see a traditional knee roll design that don’t stick too far off the pad and keep the low weight design and feels perfectly balanced with the rest of the build. The outer roll is uniform in size through from top to bottom and designed to help prevent pucks from popping over the pad but instead staying in front of the goaltender. In moving from the L12.2 to the PX3, True has completely redesigned the core of the thigh rise, making it 30% stiffer than the original core found on the L12.2. This allows for a better seal along the ice when in the butterfly, making redirecting pucks even easier.

Flipping around to the outer gusset of the pad, the True Catalyst PX3 visually looks like a classic Lefevre pad with a consistent shape with a slight bend due to the single break in the middle of the pad, creating a slight curve to better aid in butterfly closure. At the top of the pad, you will notice that despite the thigh rise being stiffer than found on the L12.2, it is also 40% thinner. This allows for an easier overlap when standing in your stance or dropping in the butterfly. It also allows the pads to be more reactive when dropping and popping up, making you even more mobile in game situations.

At the knee, the classic and beloved Lefevre knee block has been improved with a new construction and improved rigidity. This allows for a much more stable pad at the knee. Paired with the stiffer thigh rise, this allows for more pressure to be applied to the top of the pad in the butterfly position, meaning you get a better seal on the ice and fewer pucks slipping through.

Finally, down at the boot, you will see an elastic toe tie system that looks similar to a skate lace but stretches nicely to two Velcro points that will run through the skate. An elastic toe tie connection helps the goaltender create less stress on their knee all while helping the pad snap back into place while still having the flexibility needed to get quick pushes.

Starting on the face of the True Catalyst PX3 Pro Custom Senior Goalie Glove, True has gone with a 75 degree break that is also known as a 600. This closure is design to help a goalie who is looking for a more natural closure that stands up tall and creates a large presentation to the shooter. You will also be able to see the double-T pocket that works perfectly with the closure, helping create that large visual presentation.

Internally, the Catalyst PX3 will come as a Game Ready feel, completely lined with Suregrip for a feeling of full control of the glove, while allowing for maximum comfort and mobility. Padding the palm will be thick HD Foams built and placed to help prevent from any stingers that might occur.

Finally, around of the back of the True Catalyst PX3, a simple three section backhand helps this glove stays flexible so that the goaltender can easily reach toward puck for easy saves. On the sides you will see two Velcro points that help keep the glove closed and can be opened for quick adjustments if needed.

Continued, the True Catalyst PX3 Pro Custom Senior Goalie Blocker features a thick high density foam board, placed directly over the backhand of the blocker. This board will allow the goaltender to redirect the puck into the corners of the rink with the accuracy they need. The hand position of the blocker naturally sits slightly higher so the goaltender will be able to reach out at puck during in tight situations.

Next on the side, True has kept the straight finger protection found on the L12.2 that will help add a little more protection between the goalie’s finger and the stick while creating a comfortable grip on the stick. All throughout the side is high density foams that create the same effect as the face and protect the goaltender all the same

Finally, flipping to the palm, a Beige Nash palm helps the goaltender get a tight and confident grip on their stick that allows the freedom to easily pull their stick up for poke check or to play the puck easily. On the cuff, a half cuff design keeps the ability to move the goalie’s hand around in this blocker highly effective along with a Velcro closure on the side for quick adjustments.
