Brand new for the fall of 2021, Brian’s Custom Sports proudly introduces their newest pad line to the world; introducing the Brians G-Netik V Pro! While being custom handcrafted in Canada, Brian’s has taken feedback from their pro advisory team and retail consumers alike to provide high end levels of equipment designed for today’s butterfly goaltender.
Following the success and popularity of the visual look of the G-Netik IV, Brian’s has added more color zones while keeping the long lines across the glove to visually distract shooters. A soft nash palm with a laced in 35 degree break allows for easy closure right out of the box with a natural middle finger to thumb closure.
Looking at the visual presentation, goalies will notice a smaller cuff and larger catching surface to help give a large visual look while still protecting the hand as necessary. Structurally, you will find a solid one piece cuff design which helps prevent pucks from skipping between the body and glove. This one piece cuff design also provides extra stability for stickhandling and gripping the stick. Additionally the cuff is reinforced with an all new Bri-Core triaxle carbon-fiber composite to provide significant rigidity throughout for controlled caroms if a puck gets in on the cuff.
Looking at the pocket of the glove, the G-Netik V features a Double T with the maximum pocket depth allowed per NHL spec. However, with how this glove is designed, you will notice a visually larger basket which gives the illusion that the pocket is deeper than most gloves.
Brian’s has kept the two BOA dial system that has worked so well throughout the last few iterations of their gear to provide a customized personal feel that stays consistent all game long.
To maximize the grip and hold that BOA dials have on the goaltenders hand, the G-Netik V features Hex-Air SBA lined technology in the wrist to provide maximum mobility. An Airknit cushioned interior cuff provides comfort across the back of the wrist, while an elastic thumb strap offers a secure fit without hindering the closure of the glove.
Closing off the glove, the backhand has strategic reinforcements to protect the tips of the fingers during RVH seals against the post and even from errant sticks or skates while trying to freeze the puck. This backhand protection provides the proper amount of protection without weighing down the glove.
If you are an elite-level goalie looking for the best combination of a One piece cuff coupled with a large Double T, and all being made in the Canadian factory, the Brians G-Netik V Pro Senior Goalie Glove is for you.
