Starting with the build of the X5 Pro pad, Bauer has offers a traditional jenpro materal front cover paired with CORTECH material on the calf plate. The Vapor keeps its flat face design over a Rebound Boost (Soft) core, coupled with a thinner geometry for full leg connection and a CURV composite stiff thigh; all combining to form a pre-curved S shape with a dynamic flex profile.

Moving to the leg, the X5 Pro offers an all new Tune Fit strap system with a new lower calf strap for increased leg connectivity. On the calf plate, Bauer has completely redesigned the plate itself as an updated version of the bracketed system originally found on the Mach pads; the Vapor will feature a hybrid Calf Support System with a single calf bracket for stable mobility

At the knee, Bauer has brought back the Stabiliflex knee block seen on the past few generations of Vapor pads, which is designed to limit over-rotation while still offering some flexibility.

Finally down at the boot, a free-flex 110 degree boot is partnered with a soft flex for a flexible feel. Finally a centered elastic toe system can be found for increased responsiveness and feel.

The traditional full hand closure found throughout the past generations of Vapor gloves makes its return again for maximum control.

The palm features CURV+ Rebound Control foam to absorb impacts and reduce stingers. Combined with a Catchlite palm the X5 Pro offers the best of protection and easy closure.

Starting with the board, the X5 Pro features a Shocklite core for high velocity rebounds away from the net and out of danger. Meanwhile a lower hand placement allows for better net coverage.

Moving to the sidewall, a molded F1 construction offers enhanced protection. Around on the fingers, they are reinforced with Shocklite Shield technology to offer complete finger protection.

The palm of the Vapor will feature a 14.5” DuraConnekt palm with piano finger adjustability for an enhanced custom fit combined. Finally at the wrist, a low profile molded cuff allows for an enhanced range of motion.
