The
RM19 Goal Stick uses proprietary low-density open cell foam that gives ultimate
impact strength without adding unneeded weight. Sher-Wood also uses a multilayer
and multi material technology to optimize the performance and strength giving
the goaltender a distinct advantage stopping and handling pucks over less
advanced composite sticks
Sher-Wood
has combined carbon fiber and Kevlar in the shaft portion of the stick to
give unprecedented impact strength and abrasion resistance. Another unique
feature for the RM19 goal stick is the aerospace grade carbon weaves used in the
blade and lower paddle portion to give torsional stability, impact strength and
wear resistance
A
proprietary dampening system has also been included by Sher-Wood, which
integrates material that reduces show impact vibration and lengthy rebounds.
This material has been strategically placed in the blade and paddle of the stick
